About the Job

Our client is looking for an Sales Manager to join a successful team in Dallas, TX  to cover an established and growing territory. The Territory Sales Manager will develop and secure business from new and existing customers, with an emphasis on new customers. Quota achievement is attained through the sale of CAD software, training, and support contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Initiate sales activities to establish and develop account relationships

Perform regular and consistent phone campaigns.

Perform regular and consistent sales calls to customer facilities.

Up to 30% overnight travel required.

Uncover Prospect’s pain, budget, urgency, and decision makers.

Create value by aligning company software and solutions with Prospect’s pain

Develop and deliver professional proposals including terms, pricing, and conditions

Present software demonstrations in cooperation with a company Application Engineer

Provide value added support to the customer to build a long term relationships

Create and follow a sales plan with emphasis on obtaining new customers.

Provide territory development reports and regularly update company CRM

Track and manage the entire sales cycle

Consistently monitor and adjust opportunities, funnel performance, and quota attainment.

Meet monthly quotas

 

Required attributes of an ideal candidate:

Minimum 3+ years B2B outside sales experience required (“Carrying a Bag”)

Must have experience handling transnational and strategic sales

Must have had documented quotas of at least $700k

Must have a documented history of phone calling campaigns.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Technology related discipline required.

 

Other attributes of an ideal candidate:

Ex-military is a plus.

Professional sales training is a plus.

Experience with CAD software or a similar product is a plus.

Familiarity with Microsoft O/S (Windows XP, Vista, and 7) and MS Office products.

 

Compensation is a base + plus commission structure with an emphasis on uncapped commission. Employer provides a 50% company-match 401K program and excellent medical insurance with no waiting period for new employees. Ten paid holidays each calendar year. Company also provides a laptop, phone reimbursement, company credit card for travel expenses, and mileage reimbursement.
